I have one more day of climbing here in Vegas before heading onward to slc for the outdoor retailer show.  I am looking forward to catching up with a lot of people and seeing the new lines of clothing/equipment, etc that everyone has coming out in 2012! 

After OR it is back here for a few days and then maybe a quick stop in moe’s before continuing onward to moe’s and the boulder for a bit.  I have 25 days left until leaving the country again and heading towards portugal!

I am so psyched to get out there and continuing exploring for some new amazing lines.  I have been hearing some really good things about the climbing there and the potential for new lines!

I am also continuing to edit welcome to the hood!  the movie is coming along reallly well and i cant wait for it to come out so that everyone gets to see it.  so with that, get psyched and send! 2012 is going to be an amazing one!

After a few days of rest and recovery at home, I am now very psyched to get back on the road and head to Red Rocks. It has been a while since I was last there but can still vividly remember some amazing projects back in the canyons! The rock in red rocks is an amazing reddish sandstone that has near perfect holds and incredible lines!

I have quite the drive ahead but am psyched to get back out in the desert again! More to come soon!

well it has been a crazy two months in Europe to say the least…  I am on my way home and am psyched to get back and relax for a bit.  it has been tough traveling and being sick but it has taught me a lot.  it was great to hang out with a lot of friends and feed off of their high levels of psyche!  i look forward to climbing with all of them again in the near future.

the welcome to the hood film is coming along really well and i am very psyched to begin editing it soon!!!  stay tuned for more updates on that!

au revouir, Paris!

I hate complaining but this is pretty much my life these days.  What i thought was a 72 hour sickness has now turned into a 2 week full on sickness.  I have now been sick, excluding 2 or 3 days for the past 1.5 months.  I have no clue what I have but have now decided that i MUST go to the doctor.

I am in climbing heaven and cant do much of anything.  it is such a bummer, but the psyche still remains high.  I really hope that I will be able to at least have a few days at the end of my trip where i can climb well and just be out at the boulders without a sore throat, head ache, and extremely fatigued.

more updates soon, hopefully a more positive one!  I would love to climb something really hard before going back to AMERRRRRICA on the 22nd.

the past week has been a bit painful for me.  I finally got over the 2 week cold that i had and started to feel like i could again climb well.  I had 2 good days where i managed to come agonizingly close to sending both anam cara in silvretta and blinded by the light in brione.  both of which would have been 1 day ascents however i was unable to pull through and make the send on either.  then the day after getting close to blinded by the light, i woke up with a terrible headache.  i thought maybe i was just dehydrated, but no… i have some fever now which is keeping me here in bed in ticino in bed.  SUCKS!!!!  being out in the freezing cold every single day is really taking a toll on me.  i am all psyched to climb and get some boulders done before heading to font in a couple of days but am struggling to get out of bed. 

I am keep my hopes high that i will soon get better.  the crew has left back for austria for a few days and i am holding down the fort here in ticino.  i am going to just relax, stay out of the cold and try to get myself better for tuesday when they will return. 

movie recommendations would be great as m not doing much at all besides laying in bed!

here are a few stills from the newest movie project!  right now the whole idea is very much in the making but it is going to be pretty rad when it all comes together.  we will be filming for the next 5 months around the world and creating a feature length film of the whole ordeal!

i have been in switzerland for a little over a week now and the weather has been perfect.  I arrived feeing quite jet-lagged as i had been in europe only 13 days prior and pretty much had no idea what time it was for a couple of days.  However, I felt good on the rocks and was psyched to make a quick 2 day ascent of “somewhere in between” in magic wood.  the line was put up many years ago and had only seen a few ascents.  Daniel and I both sent the line and we both felt that it was more on the low end 8b+ side of things rather than 8b as it had originally been graded.

After a bit of rest I was psyched again for a day at Chironico and an attempt at “delusions of grandeur.”  i gave it a flash go and felt close however part way through the climb my fingers went numb and i could not feel the holds i was grabbing anymore.  after working the moves a little bit, i tried the top out and got very freaked out and would not commit.  so, to help my commitment issue, i decided to just go fro the bottom knowing that i would not let go if i got to the scary technical top out from the bottom.  fortunately, i succeeded.  it was a bit epic and i had to use my hip to get up the epic slab at the top.

The past few days have been spent waiting for my main project in brione to dry out.  I managed to stick one of the 2 crux moves yesterday which was a huge success for me!  one more left and i should be able to do the boulder!! ahhh it is such a rad line and i am really psyched to get back on it again soon.

On another note, I deleted my 8a.nu account and now have all of my updates going to 27crags.com for those that are interested in what i am up to…  the site is awesome and i think it will be a great step forward in terms of cataloging and creating free online guide books for areas.  check it out if you have not seen it before!

time for dinner and a movie!  feels amazing to be back in europe again!
